It's that time again-

Well it's that time again.  Time to hear the word Olympics 20 times a day.  Time to see update commercials every five minutes.

Nah, it's not so bad.  It's actually a fun time.  It's an uplifting occasion. 
Even if you don't watch every event (and there's nothing that says you have to), there are still plenty of entertaining things going worth watching. 

The Summer Olympics are great.  I mean, I really like the winter Olympics, with the skiing and the ice skating and bobsled stuff. 

But the summer Olympics . . . The summer Olympics . . .What can I say?

There's something about the summer Olympics that makes it so special.  I can't seem to put it into words . . .


Like it's not just all the countries getting together in solidarity and all that la-di-da stuff.  There's something about these games that moves you every time they come around . . .


I don't know what it is.  Perhaps it's simply because it's summer, and it's the turning point of the year, that makes the games more enticing. 

No.  That's not it.  That's dumb. 

There's something more. 

It's like a feeling . . .


Yes, that's it. 

There's a warmth to the summer games.  A warmth. 

One might even say a type of heat . . .


I don't know exactly what it is about the summer Olympics that draws you in.  I simply know I'm exceptionally excited it's here.

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. And that had been a difficult thing for me to handle for years. So I feel I don't need to try.  2018 was a bad year. Freedom of Speech?

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. They’re claiming it falls under the First Amendment: freedom of speech.  Oh, yeah, we’ll, here’s some freedom of speech for you: Fuck them!!! Fuck all Republicans!!! Fuck Donald tRump and his illiterate cult. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return. But there was this story that I had wanted to tell for years. I had almost finished the first draft months
