Back again (I think)

It seems, even when I have every intention of posting more on this blog, things happen and I'm not able. I'm not even sure, at the end of this post, that I'll be able to upload it, but we'll see.

Anyway, things have not been going the way you might think, in the life of a retired person. I've been working. Yes, I got a job. It's only a part-time job, but it's working in a restaurant, and it's hard. But I'm doing it to assist with the down payment for our forever home. We will close on February 1st!

But other than working, I haven't been doing much. I haven't the energy most days. All writing and wood burning projects are on hold until life settles down again.
I'm sure the world will survive.

We had our first blizzard the other day. It was interesting. Unfortunately, Steve had to drive down to the Springs for work in the middle of it.
I'm off today, and Steve, Buster, and I are going to drive up to our new home ( it's 1,200 feet higher in elevation than we are now) and get a good reminder what we're busting our asses for.

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. And that had been a difficult thing for me to handle for years. So I feel I don't need to try.  2018 was a bad year. No only because there's a new problem with the cunt in the White House every day, but with people in general. People have gotten more violent and uncaring. Freedom of Speech?

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. They’re claiming it falls under the First Amendment: freedom of speech.  Oh, yeah, we’ll, here’s some freedom of speech for you: Fuck them!!! Fuck all Republicans!!! Fuck Donald tRump and his illiterate cult. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return. But there was this story that I had wanted to tell for years. I had almost finished the first draft months
