Getting settled

Finally, after eleven days, we are totally and completely moved in to our new home! This has been the most difficult move we've ever had, simply because of a snow storm that arrived a few days before we closed on Feb. 1st., causing the roads to our Cabin Above the Clouds to be pretty much useless for Uhauls.
So, we waited until the weather improved (thankfully, we got a week of gorgeous weather), and we rented yet another Uhaul, and got the last of our stuff out of the garage at the apartments.

I tell you what, it really feels differently knowing we're 100% moved in. There was a sense of calm and relief that set in almost instantly.

Now it's time to get the office in order, get the gym in order (lots of catching up to do there), and get our lives back to some sort of semblance to normalcy. Which is one of the reasons I'm writing this post first thing. I told myself that I would be better with my blog, and I plan on doing just that.

Another thing I need to get back to work on is the Serpenteens series. I had been working on the final installment, Battle of the Gods, when we started this whole house thing three and a half months ago. But then I started working a part-time job washing dishes (I still have nightmares)  in order to secure our down payment, and since that was the hardest thing I had ever done, each day I was left feeling like a wet dishrag, with no motivation to move much less write.

But, that job has ended, the house has been purchased, and we are in, so time to get to work!

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. And that had been a difficult thing for me to handle for years. So I feel I don't need to try.  2018 was a bad year. No only because there's a new problem with the cunt in the White House every day, but with people in general. People have gotten more violent and uncaring. Freedom of Speech?

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. They’re claiming it falls under the First Amendment: freedom of speech.  Oh, yeah, we’ll, here’s some freedom of speech for you: Fuck them!!! Fuck all Republicans!!! Fuck Donald tRump and his illiterate cult. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return.
